The objective of this role is to manage the company's contract with NASA Kennedy Space Flight Center (KSC) located in Merritt Island, FL.  This is not a remote position, requires work in the office minimum of three-four days per week. Candidate will be the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO) and their Technical Representative (COR) and will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks listed in the Statement of Work (SOW) are performed with a high level of customer service and accuracy. Candidate is responsible for managing all direct support staff, to include interviewing/hiring, onboarding, performance, behavior, and morale within the contractual constraints to meet the company and customer goals and expectations. Candidate is responsible for managing the financial performance of the contract, responsible to put cost proposal together and respond to agency with approval from corporate, aggregate and manage data effectively to provide various reports, and execute operations of the project with corporate guidance.


Objectives and duties entail:

  • Support KSC as team FedSync’s Program Manager for professional and administrative services, implementing and executing project management plans.
  • Supervising the Training and Safety Specialist, ensuring that objectives are met.
  • Supervision of 50+ professional administrative staff supporting at KSC on the contract.
  • Serves as the primary contract manager and company's authorized interface with the Government Contracting Officer (CO), the contract level Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and NASA organizations Technical Management Representatives (TMRs).
  • Responsible and accountable for overall contract performance at KSC.
  • Responsible for enforcing work standards, assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates.
  • Lead the sourcing of qualified candidates, interviewing and down selected candidates using corporate policies, and timely staff the contract within approved timelines.
  • Manage the onboarding, performance expectation setting, training plan effectiveness, performance improvement, and termination of personnel - working with the corporate operations team.
  • Coordinate, review and approve time sheets and leave/vacation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job requirements

Education/Experience Requirement:

  • A Minimum of 5 years of experience in management, specifically experience as contractor or government project/program manager
  • Experience in sourcing, down-selecting and interviewing qualified candidates
  • Experience in financial management of contract operations, including costing, responding to requests, invoice validation and approval, and tracking burn-rates
  • Experience working with multiple government task leads and project team leads
  • Experience implementing quality control processes and auditing quality standards
  • Experience with Service Contract Act and it's enforcement and implementation on Federal contracts
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management or related field
  • NASA experience (preferred)
  • PMP Certified (preferred)
  • US Citizen
