The objective of this role is to support NASA in various projects, programs, or events. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven knowledge and success in performing routine program/project support as defined below. The Candidate maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the supervisor and staff, works fairly independently receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance, and performs various project, program, or events. 

Duties Entail:
  • Provide support to the Center for various project, program, or events.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in program/project support with an emphasis on planning and coordinating program details ensuring adherence to U.S. and foreign government regulations, international cultures and customs, and governmental policies and procedures.
  • Skilled in administrating the execution of project, programs, or event.
  • Supports the Program/Project Manager by participating in meetings and communications with government stakeholders for the development and execution of the plan.
  • Perform duties that include assessing requirements, plan development, risk/issue identification and mitigation in order to provide recommendation for managerial decision making on project/program execution.
  • Performs all aspects of project execution to include logistical support (e.g., facilities, marketing/communications, graphics, security, record management, and transportation, etc.), preparing purchase request, report generation, curriculum establishment, calendar maintenance, record retention and general website maintenance.
  • Knowledgeable of agency program goals and objectives in order to effectively execute the sequence of key program events and milestones.
  • Skilled in analysis techniques to evaluate program accomplishments.
  • Skilled in planning, organizing, and working in teams to effectively make recommendations on project implementation with management.

  • Proficient in the following primary duties:
    • Serves as the primary back up to the Executive Admin 
    • Serve as IT Rep and manage IT provisioning
    • Manage conference rooms
    • Manage assignments/closure of Center actions (KATS)
    • Order office supplies
    • Provide shipping as needed to other Centers, contractors, suppliers, etc.
    • Maintain rosters and office bulletin boards
    • Assist with integration of presentations (weekly staff charts)
    • Serve as Property Custodian
    • Serve as DFUM, manage requests for keys/parking
    • Lead Center Special Events
  • Facilities management skills 
    Multi-tasker with the ability to handle multiple tasks with some short deadlines and deal with multiple stakeholders is a critical skill to have in this position. 
  • Experience in a high-paced, highly functioning organization with numerous competing demands.
  • Can express ideas effectively both verbally and written with both management and staff. 
    • Is articulate, well spoken, logical and concise.
    • Ability to gather, comprehend and express thoughts and ideas in an effective and appropriate manner using the appropriate verbal, non-verbal, listening, writing, reading, facilitation and presentation skills. 
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in applying complicated and comprehensive evaluation of occupation regulations, techniques, and procedures to perform assistance work requiring:
    • extensive searches of records, references, or historical materials
    • analyze comparisons with complex and broadly written criteria
    • complete assignments using specialized and complicated techniques; and
    • develop, examine, adjust, reconsider, and authorize solutions.
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Officer products, specifically SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


Job requirements

Education Requirements

Associates Degree (preferred)
High School Diploma Required  

Required Experience

Minimum of 8 years of equivalent professional experience

Additional Requirements: 

  • US Citizen
  • Experience with NASA agency and or contract preferred with active NASA badge
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to clear criminal and drug tests, regularly

Starting Salary: $49,962
